The 2008 PXP Environmental Impact Report (EIR) did not include sections which are typically part of the industry standard EIR. Therefore, a lawsuit (Petition for Writ of Mandamus) to get a industry standard EIR (study) of the oilfield, the grounds and the surrounding neighborhood was filed by the Citizen Coalition for a Safe Community, and to stop drilling until a complete study is done.

Our mentor, Dr. Bernard Endres, who cared deeply for our planet and its inhabitants, and for whom we have very high regard, died in 2010. His widow, Fran Endres, bequeathed to Grassroots Coalition all of the materials he had amassed over a life time of studying, lecturing, litigating, and writing about oil and gas related issues. We are scanning and cataloging much of this information with the help of Paul Ferrazzi of Citizens Coalition for a Safe Community and Beverly Allison of Baldwin Hills. Look for frequent additions to our Reference Materials. In a short time, we will install search tools to make locating specific documents and subject matter easier.
