Methane Task Force Sets Date for Second Public Meeting

Sacramento, Calif. – The Methane Task Force, comprised of the Department of Conservation’s Geologic Energy Management (CalGEM) Division, the California Air Resources Board (CARB), and their umbrella agencies, the California Natural Resources Agency and California Environmental Protection Agency, will host the second Methane Task Force Public Meeting on Thursday, October 20, 2022 at 5:30 p.m. in the evening.  

The virtual meeting will deliver an update on current and upcoming efforts at both agencies to address methane emissions. CalGEM will also provide an update on efforts underway to prepare to implement Senate Bill 1137, including forthcoming public engagement opportunities. The Methane Task Force public meeting will include time for public comments.
