Using the Brown Act to Request Public Information
http://www.thefirstamendment.org/Brown-Act-Brochure-DEC-03.pdf
The people of this State do not yield their sovereignty to the agencies which serve them. The people, in delegating authority, do not give their public servants the right to decide what is good for the people to know and what is not good for them to know. The people insist on remaining informed so that they may retain control over the instruments they have created. It's not something we invented.
California State Senators voted for Brown's Act on behalf of all California residents, and future generations.
We want our elected officials and their associates to understand their activities and decisions must and will conform to Brown's Act. Much of the material on this website has been gleaned from Brown Act Requests.
